A global powerhouse in electrical engineering and electronics, Siemens Korea announced on March 29 that the company had donated KRW 20 million to support recovery efforts in the eastern coastal areas affected by wildfires, including Uljin, Samcheok and Gangneung.

Based on a joint contribution made by Siemens Ltd. Seoul and Siemens Industry Software, the donation was delivered to the Korean Red Cross and will be used for a variety of relief activities such as supporting wildfire victims, operating shelters, and providing emergency relief supplies.

“Siemens Korea sincerely hopes that with our contribution, all the residents affected by wildfires will be able to restore their lives as soon as possible,” said HaJoong Chung, President and CEO of Siemens Korea.
